Milford was full of singing, hand-holding and protesting on Sunday afternoon.
A couple hundred people gathered at the Milford Fairgrounds to protest the province’s approval of a 27-turbine wind farm in South Marysburgh and Athol wards.
Several people spoke to the crowd at the rally, one of whom was Myrna Wood, President of the Prince Edward County Field Naturalists. She said animals are running out of land to live on

County Magazine publisher Steve Campbell, who spoke at the event, said the Green Energy Act is discriminatory towards rural Ontario and that the provincial government is ignoring the County.
After the speeches, protesters held hands around the Mount Tabor Theatre and chanted. There was also live music and food available through the day.
