Prince Edward County’s large-item swap event, which was postponed last month due to rain, has now been rescheduled for Saturday, May 20 to encourage people to re-use items instead of throwing them out.
Residents can place their lightly used large items at the curb for other residents to take and continue to use. Large items could include furniture, electronics, tools, etc.
To reduce travel on rural roads, residents in rural areas can post their items and location on the Facebook event page for people to peruse. Those living in the settlement areas are also welcome to use the site.
Items must be removed the next day. The event will be weather dependent and will be cancelled in the event of rain.
