The City of Belleville’s Community Services Department is once again partnering with Quinte Conservation to promote its Clean, Drain, Dry initiative – an important campaign aimed at reducing the spread of invasive aquatic plants.
As part of the project, a CD3 Watercraft Cleaning Station will be located at various public water access points throughout the Quinte region. The self-serve, eco-friendly washing trailer allows boaters and anglers to easily remove debris, plants and organisms from their watercraft helping to prevent the spread of invasive species through our waterways.
The cleaning station will be available for public use at the George Street Boat Launch (7 South George St.) during the following dates:
- June 18 to 25
- July 23 to 30
The station is free for boaters/anglers to use. Information on using the device can be found in Quinte Conservation’s instructional video. For more information on protecting our waterways, visit: QuinteConservation.ca.
