This is Pollinator Week (June 16-22).
Pollinator Week is an annual celebration to raise awareness for pollinators and spread the word about what we can do to protect them.
Pollinators such as bees, butterflies, moths, bats, beetles, and hummingbirds play a vital role in our ecosystems, economies, and agriculture.
Belleville and Quinte West have each been certified as a “Bee City” by Bee City Canada.
Bee Cities have made a commitment to protect and promote pollinators, such as bees and butterflies, through habitat creation and public education.
