The 26th annual Quinte Trash Bash is coming up on Saturday, April 25 in Belleville, Prince Edward County, Quinte West and Tyendinaga Township.
Quinte Trash Bash is a region-wide spring cleanup that encourages community members to take action and work together to remove litter from roadsides, parks and other shared spaces.
Held at the end of Earth Week, the event supports a cleaner, greener and more sustainable environment.
Participants can pick up cleanup supplies in advance or on the day of the event in their community.
More information including details on supply kit distribution and garbage drop-off locations is available at quintetrashbash.ca.
“Even small actions can have a big impact when it comes to protecting our environment,” said City of Quinte West Mayor Jim Harrison. “Quinte Trash Bash brings our residents together each year to take pride in our community spaces and make a lasting difference for future generations, one park, trail and roadside at a time.”
“Prince Edward County is at its best when neighbours come together to care for the place we all call home,” said Prince Edward County Mayor Steve Ferguson. “I’m proud to support the Owen Jones Community Clean-Up in partnership with the Quinte Trash Bash. By giving a little of our time, we can make a big difference—keeping our parks, streets, and waterways clean for everyone to enjoy. I encourage residents of all ages to join in and help keep our community beautiful.”
“The Quinte Trash Bash is an annual tradition that brings our community together to make a meaningful impact on our local environment,” said City of Belleville Mayor Neil Ellis. “By working together to clean up our parks and neighbourhoods, we’re helping protect local wildlife and preserve the natural spaces we all enjoy.”
“We want to thank everyone for their commitment to keep our community free from litter,” said Tyendinaga Township Mayor Claire Kennelly. “Quinte Trash Bash is a great opportunity to show we care about our region and we are happy to be a part of it.”
