Officials in Brighton want to try to find out what is killing so called “good bacteria” in the town’s sewage lagoon.
Last night, council was told of an unknown toxic chemical that hurt the lagoons performance during the summer months.
Councillor Steve Baker wondered whether sewage being dumped from recreational vehicles camped at Presqu’ile Park might have something to do with the problem.
In the end, council voted to do testing at the property lines of businesses to learn where the toxic chemical was coming from.
