If you live in the City of Belleville your curbside collection days may be changing.
This July, the City of Belleville will join communities throughout Ontario in the province-wide transition to producer-responsibility residential recycling collection. Circular Materials is the producer responsibility organization that is responsible for implementing and managing the new extended producer responsibility recycling system in Ontario.
Circular Materials has contracted E360 Solutions to provide curbside recycling collection in Belleville. Previously, some households had garbage/organics and recycling collection on separate days each week. However, in an effort to streamline service, E360 Solutions has updated their collection zones and will begin collecting each households’ garbage, recycling and organics on the same day each week. This will mean that many households’ collection dates may change starting the week of July 21.
Residents are encouraged to find their new collection date using the curbside waste collection map.
There will be no immediate changes to acceptable materials or sorting throughout this transition period and residents should continue to put their blue bins to the curb by 7 a.m. on their new pick-up date.
Any recycling-related issues now through July 21 should continue to be reported to the City’s operations centre at 613-962-7107 or by using the online report an issue form. Starting July 21, residents should contact E360 Solutions at customerservice-eastont@e360s.ca or 613-392-7107 to report problems with recycling collection such as missed collection, damaged bins, or other recycling questions.
