Get ready for the 2026 growing season by attending the 17th annual Seedy Saturday PEC.
The event is being held Saturday February 21 from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm at Prince Edward Collegiate Institute (41 Barker St, Picton).
Seedy Saturday has something for everyone – first-time or master gardener, seed enthusiast or expert seed saver.
It’s a fun, free event where you can swap and exchange seeds, get exciting varieties that other seed savers are sharing, attend workshops and talks, meet vendors and buy seeds from seed companies.
Everything from heirloom tomatoes and unusual squashes, to perennial hollyhocks and annual marigolds, to cold-hardy natives like columbines and hyssop will be available.
Visitors are encouraged to bring seeds to share or make a donation in exchange for seeds.
There will also be lots of info sharing on local gardening, environmental and seed saving initiatives along with activities for kids.
Lunch is available for a donation.
You can attend one or all of the three presentations by local experts.
Admission is free.
Donations are welcome.
