Volunteers wanted for tree planting event in Belleville

The City of Belleville and TD are teaming up once again for a community planting event next month.

Volunteers are needed to plant 750 native trees and shrubs at the Brimley Court Greenspace at the corner of Haig Road and Brimley Court on September 26, part of  TD Tree Days.

Planting will go from 9 a.m. to noon. 

TD Tree Days events are hosted by local not-for-profits, municipalities, and Indigenous groups that specialize in environmental stewardship.

Volunteers need to be prepared for physical activity including digging, lifting, and planting, and may be asked to do other planting activities such as mulching, securing mulch mats, placing tree guards, and watering.
