Quinte Conservation invites volunteers to participate in two planting events later this month as part of an initiative to plant three thousand native wildflowers, shrubs and trees.
Community planting events are being held May 30 and 31 at Riverside Park East to renaturalize the shoreline.
Coors Seltzer as part of the Change the Course Initiative, Belleville Sens and Domtar, in partnership with Quinte Conservation and Watersheds Canada are sponsoring the first planting event on Thursday, May 30 from 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
The second session Friday, May 31 from 10:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. is sponsored by Belleville Sens, Molson Coors and Domtar, in partnership with Quinte Conservation and Watersheds Canada.
Volunteers are asked to register in advance.

Quinte Conservation also hosted a planting event (sponsored by Eco Action and in partnership with Watersheds Canada) on May 6 at Price Conservation Area where 1,000 native wildflowers, shrubs and trees were planted to rehabilitate the space after 2022’s Derecho storm.
